  • Terms of Service

    Effective Date: May 15, 2026

    These Terms of Service (“Agreement”) govern the services provided by Lisa Rhatigan Design (“Designer,” “we,” or “us”) to the client (“Client,” “you,” or “your”). By purchasing design services, the Client agrees to the following terms.

    1. Scope of Services
    Lisa Rhatigan Design provides virtual interior design services, including but not limited to:
    - Vision Kits
    - Complete Room Plans
    - Virtual implementation support
    - Local styling or implementation sessions (if applicable)

    Specific deliverables, timelines, and pricing will be outlined in the selected service package or invoice.

    2. Payment Terms
    A non-refundable deposit or full payment is required before work begins.

    For Complete Room Plans:
    - 50% deposit due at booking
    - Remaining balance due prior to final design delivery

    For Vision Kits and implementation support:
    - Payment is due in full upfront unless otherwise agreed in writing.

    No final deliverables, shopping lists, or design files will be released until outstanding balances are paid in full.

    3. Refund Policy
    Due to the custom nature of design services, all payments are non-refundable once work has commenced.

    If the Client chooses to pause, cancel, or abandon the project after work has begun, payments made will not be refunded.

    4. Revisions
    Each package includes a limited number of revisions as outlined in the package description. Additional revisions or scope changes may incur additional fees.

    Major redesign requests outside the original concept direction may require a new proposal.

    5. Client Responsibilities
    The Client agrees to:
    - Provide accurate room measurements, photos, and information
    - Respond to communications in a timely manner
    - Review deliverables promptly
    - Make purchasing and implementation decisions independently unless otherwise agreed

    Designer is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete information, delayed responses, vendor issues, shipping delays, or product discontinuations.

    6. Product Recommendations
    Designer may recommend furniture, decor, finishes, paint colors, and other products from third-party retailers.

    Designer is not responsible for:
    - Product defects
    - Shipping delays
    - Vendor errors
    - Product availability changes
    - Color variation due to screen calibration or lighting conditions

    Clients are encouraged to review dimensions, materials, and retailer policies prior to purchase.

    7. Implementation & Installation
    Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Designer does not provide:
    - Contractor management
    - Construction oversight
    - Electrical or plumbing advice
    - Structural recommendations
    - Physical installation services

    Any local styling or implementation assistance provided is limited to aesthetic guidance and placement recommendations.

    8. Intellectual Property
    All design concepts, mood boards, renderings, shopping lists, guides, and materials created by Lisa Rhatigan Design remain the intellectual property of the Designer.

    Design materials are for the Client’s personal use only and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without written permission.

    9. Photography & Marketing
    Designer may use project images, renderings, or client-submitted photos for portfolio, website, and marketing purposes unless the Client requests otherwise in writing.

    10. Limitation of Liability
    Designer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of design recommendations, products, or implementation decisions.

    Client assumes responsibility for all final purchasing, installation, contractor coordination, and implementation decisions.

    11. Communication Expectations
    Communication will take place via email and approved project platforms during normal business hours.

    Response times may vary based on project scope and workload.

    12. Governing Law
    This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina.

    13. Acceptance
    By submitting payment for services, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
